RI Division reports 1,4-Dioxane to 0.20ug/L under SW846 8270 SIM

Our Rhode Island Division is capable of reporting 0.20 ug/L for 1,4-Dioxane under SW846 8270 SIM as recently required by New Hampshire and Massachusetts. The Rhode Island Division also performs this analysis to a reporting limit of 2ug/L by the SW846 8270 method as well as the US EPA Contract Laboratory Program (CLP) special method for 1,4-Dioxane. The "SVOC approach" used by these methods has numerous advantages to methods using a VOC or a modified-VOC approach in the analysis of this compound.

Environmental Laboratory Services (ELS) located in Syracuse, NY has entered into a Strategic Business Alliance with Spectrum Analytical, Inc.

This alliance will provide ELS the ability to work with Spectrum Analytical and produce validatable data packages that meet the requirements of the US EPA Contract Laboratory Program, give ELS the ability to work with engineering firms on CLP projects and secure federal contracts, while satisfying both reporting requirements and minority business utilization considerations.
