International Services

Spectrum is now able to receive and analyze samples from around the world!

Certification

The importation and movement of untreated soil is considered by the U.S. Department of Agriculture Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS) to be an extremely high-risk activity. For this reason, the movement of soil into the United States from foreign sources is strictly controlled. Spectrum has been granted a permit through the USDA APHIS Plant Protection and Quarantine authorizing the receipt and analysis of soils from other countries and U.S. territories. This permitting process carries several levels of review and approval and requires strict adherence to rules concerning the proper storage, handling and disposal of foreign soils.

International Services & References

Historically, Spectrum has provided high-quality analytical services throughout the United States. However, we are excited to introduce our international services to your company and will be happy to provide analytical services for your sites worldwide. International shipment and analysis has already been performed for several projects including sites in Denmark, South Africa, Brazil, Bolivia, Mexico, Puerto Rico, Jamaica, the Bahamas, the Middle East and the list keeps growing. These projects were coordinated in advance and processed in a team effort with large environmental consulting firms such as ENSR International and URS Corporation following the stringent criteria set forth by our USDA permit.

Shipping & Receiving

Spectrum has arranged for sample shipment through Federal Express international directors. If any problems or concerns arise regarding the transit of your samples, we have a Federal Express representative who will work with us to resolve the issues as quickly and efficiently as possible. In addition, our representative will be able to notify us prior to shipment if receipt of your glassware will be a problem.

Online Services

For added convenience, sample container requests may be submitted electronically using eServices. This service also allows you to gain real-time access to your analytical results. eServices is available free of charge and is accessible from any computer with an internet connection.

We are pleased to offer this service to our clients and feel confident that our laboratory can assist in accommodating your international needs.
