Volatile Organics

The Volatile Organics Department resides in a professionally designed state-of-the-art facility that is isolated from all other department laboratories. This prevents laboratory cross-contamination commonly found in the environmental laboratory industry.

The department is equipped with eight gas chromatographs coupled with six mass spectrometers and two flame/photo ionization detectors. Full automation is achieved on two instruments that utilize 72 position multi-matrix autosamplers. With the availability of this instrumentation, this laboratory is able to process over 320 samples per day.

A representation of the standard analyses performed daily is listed below.

  • Volatile Organic Compounds by GC/MS (8260B)
