Spectrum is committed to providing its clients with prompt, reliable results at competitive prices. Reliability of any sample data is measured in terms of precision in executing the methodology and accuracy of surrogate and method-spike recovery. The data generated by Spectrum must minimally pass all method-specific criteria established by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and each state where certifications are held. In situations where no criteria have been established, Spectrum has implemented in-house data quality objectives to ensure reliable data is published. To this end, Spectrum has developed a company-wide Quality Assurance Program (QAP).

Spectrum Analytical, Inc. is certified in accordance with the National Environmental Laboratory Accreditation Conference (NELAC). The laboratory continuously reviews updates from NELAC, as well as other state agencies, and implements these changes into our daily operational procedures. Spectrum also continues to improve its quality standards with periodical audits by NELAC. This dedication provides clients with an assurance to meet project quality objectives and maintain data consistency between projects.

Spectrum's management program consists of mandatory daily meetings attended by the Quality Team. These meetings are used to review technical operations, status of analyses, report publishing and personnel scheduling. The result is a quick response to problem situations, which enhances the quality of the analysis, the services provided, and the deliverable. The internal management program also incorporates a Quality Assurance / Quality Control (QA/QC) procedure. This is adhered to by every staff member and consists of a three-tiered procedure for data validation, internal and external audits.

Spectrum's commitment to quality continues with the utilization of the most reliable and technically sound instrumentation, the employ of experienced chemists, and the use of a highly trained support staff. With the strict adherence to Good Laboratory Practices, peer review of data and a streamlined operational process, Spectrum ensures its clients will receive consistently reliable data every time.
